Terms of Service for Christy Pierce Photography, LLC

Effective Date: April 1, 2012

Welcome to Christy Pierce Photography, LLC! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our photography services, including booking, communication, sessions, and image delivery. By hiring us or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Booking & Payment

  • A signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer fee of $100 for regular sessions and 50% of the balance for weddings is required to secure your booking.

  • The remaining balance is due 15 days before your session.

  • Payments may be made via Cash, Check or Square (through my invoice)

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • If you cancel the session, the retainer is non-refundable but may be applied to a future session if rescheduled within 1 year.

  • We reserve the right to reschedule due to weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will work with you to find the earliest available date.

3. Client Responsibilities

  • Clients must arrive on time and be prepared for the session.

  • If the session starts late due to the client’s delay, the session time may be reduced accordingly.

  • For minors, a parent or legal guardian must be present.

4. Image Delivery

  • Proof galleries or final images will be delivered within 2-3 weeks after the session.

  • Image files will be delivered via downloadable link sent via email.

  • The number of edited images included in your package will be specified in your invoice.

5. Image Usage

  • We retain the copyright to all images.

  • Clients receive a license for personal use only (e.g., printing, sharing with friends/family, posting on social media with credit).

  • Commercial use, resale, or editing of images is not permitted without written consent.

  • With your consent, we may use selected images for portfolio, website, or promotional purposes.

  • No raw files are given.

6. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All images are the intellectual property of Christy Pierce Photography, LLC. You may not alter, edit, or reproduce the images for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

7. Liability

  • We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, accidents, illness).

  • In the rare event of total equipment failure or other circumstances preventing the delivery of photos, liability is limited to a refund of all paid fees.

8. Image Storage

We store your images for up to 6 months after delivery. After this period, we are not obligated to retain your images.

9. Photo Editing

  • Basic editing and retouching are included.

  • Additional edits or extensive retouching (e.g., body modifications, object removal) may incur an extra fee.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bibb County Alabama.

11. Agreement

By booking a session with Christy Pierce Photography, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
